Tina Werle, MC, RCC, (She/Her)

Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)

There are times when life just feels heavy. We can feel stuck, lonely, or misunderstood.
Sometimes, all we really need is someone to listen, without judgment or being told
we are “too much” or “too sensitive”. Trauma, unresolved stress, and interpersonal
conflicts can linger for a long time, affecting how we feel, think, and relate to
others, even when we can’t quite understand why something still bothers us.

My approach to therapy is grounded in helping you understand how trauma can become “stuck” in the nervous system and affect your daily life. Together, we will explore how your experiences have shaped your sense of self, your relationships, and your ability to recognize and meet your needs. I tailor my approach to your unique situation, including cultural, community, and family influences. You are the expert of your life; I am here to support you in rediscovering your authenticity, confidence, and inner strength. I draw from EMDR, attachment theory, parts work, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, skill-building, and psychoeducation.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I aim to foster self-awareness, self-compassion, and emotional resilience, helping you observe rather than react or feel triggered. I want to support you in recognizing your worth, trusting that your feelings are valid, and knowing that you are enough. Your past does not have to define you. Together, we will work toward healing and reconnecting with your needs and goals in ways that feel authentic and supportive so that you can live a life full of balance, confidence, and peace.

Experience & Training

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. I have worked with women who have experienced domestic violence and childhood trauma. I focus on providing psychoeducation to help clients understand how trauma impacts their nervous system, behaviours, perceptions, and belief systems. I think that knowledge and self-understanding are essential first steps toward healing. I have co-facilitated psychoeducational groups supporting women in developing healthy boundaries and building resilience in relationships. My clinical experience includes working with clients presenting with a variety of diagnoses, including complex PTSD, borderline personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder, anxiety, and depression.

More Than Just My Work

Some of my favorite things are spending time with my son, being in nature, playing board games, and swimming. I have a serious sweet tooth. A fun fact about me: I was born without a sense of smell. No one knows why, but yes, I can still taste (which is always the first question people ask!).

I enjoy learning about different cultures, customs, and foods. Immigrating to Canada alone from Europe in my early 20s taught me adaptability, and how to navigate a new language and environment. Marrying my Vietnamese-Canadian husband deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity and its impact on relationships. These experiences inform my culturally sensitive, open-minded, and inclusive approach to therapy.
