Xue Wei (Jenny) Chen

Jenny Chen, MC, RCC (She/Her)

Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)

Trauma and stress have a way of lingering inside us, wreaking havoc on our mind and bodies unless they are safely processed. In the midst of today’s fast paced, performance driven world, I want to offer you a gentle space to slow down and process your inner workings. If life is feeling chaotic, disappointing, or overwhelming, you don’t have to carry this weight alone. I am here to support you and walk alongside you.

In our time together, my hope is that you will feel heard, seen, and valued for your unique lived experiences. My therapeutic approach is warm, trauma informed and culturally informed. I draw from multiple modalities such as Narrative Therapy, EMDR, IFS therapy, Mindfulness, Art Therapy, Attachment Theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT).

My goal is to provide a space in which pain can be expressed and held, where vulnerability is welcomed. While healing is not an easy journey, it is fully possible with the right support. Together, we can explore your strengths, connect with your inner wisdom, and work through past wounds so that you can move forward in life with peace and clarity.

Experience & Training:

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Throughout my counselling practice, I have worked with a wide range of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and age groups. My work focuses on helping clients explore their authentic values and desires, while recognizing areas of disconnection.

As someone who is Chinese-Canadian, I have basic Mandarin language skills and may be able to provide support in Mandarin. Please book a consultation to inquire further.

More than just my work

I am an avid artist and love all things crafty. In my spare time I enjoy being out in nature, or spending time at home playing cozy video games. I have two bunnies named Mochi and Pepper, who are as cute as they are mischievous. Appreciating the little moments and finding humor in life are two practices I continue to do in my own healing journey.
