Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC)
Clients seek my services when they want to feel a sense of control again and have been struggling with challenges like emotional dysregulation, mood and anger management issues, and impulsiveness. It may be hard to see a brighter future, or believe that one is possible for you, when you are weighed down by negative thinking, loneliness, grief, hopelessness, or lacking a sense of safety in your own body, relationships, or society. The hardships of everyday life or the impacts of trauma may leave a part of you seeking escape. I am here to help you safely witness and relate differently to your pain so you can build a more satisfying life.
I draw from a variety of counselling models to best meet your unique needs such as, mindfulness-based therapy, body-based and somatic processing, EFT, IFS, EMDR, CBT, and addictions counselling. At the heart of my work are the principles of culturally sensitive care, person-centredness, harm reduction, and anti-oppression.
Through therapy together, you can expect us to engage in a staged treatment plan. First, we will focus on stabilization and building coping and emotional regulation skills; progressing into trauma treatment, emotional processing, building insight and meaning, and making changes; and finally consolidating progress to build self-efficacy and self-trust that you can confidently address life’s challenges between sessions and after ending therapy.
You can expect to leave our sessions with an enhanced awareness of the connection of internal and external stressors and triggers, thoughts, emotion cycles, and body responses and physical sensations. Our work may help your inner critic soften and help you cultivate a more self-compassionate and gentle approach when you are suffering and activated by reminders of your past emotional pain. Working together, you can reclaim control over your life, have more choice over your responses to stressors, and live more in line with your values and goals.

Experience & Training:
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Canadian Certified Counsellor holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My clinical counselling practice is focused on trauma treatment and substance use and addictions counselling.
My approach is informed by 5+ years of working in frontline mental health and psychosocial support roles primarily with individuals experiencing addictions, homelessness, and in Montreal’s Indigenous sector. These experiences inspired me to reorient toward psychotherapy, where I can offer deeper and more tailored support.
More About Me:
Since it may be important for some clients to share life experiences with your counsellor, I like to self-disclose that I have peer experience with substance use issues and am queer and neurodivergent. My recovery and mental health journey has been one of grieving and accepting losses and building out purpose and aligning my actions with my values. My joys in life involve spending time with loved ones and queer chosen-family, watching good cinema, traveling, exploring underground electronic music scenes, cuddling my cat, and taking baths. I previously lived in Montreal, QC for 13 years and have strong community ties both there and in Vancouver. I apply mindfulness to everyday life, play, joke around, and find joy in small moments.
